We’re a bi-annual magazine, normally coming out in Spring and Autumn, with some special issues also sometimes released. We have updates about releases, news and contents of the next issue in our monthly newsletter.
We use post-consumer recycled paper, vegetable inks, renewable energy for printing and for RW4 we will invest in forest protection in Brazil to make the print carbon neutral.

We’re a small independent magazine with a small budget, especially at the moment with the coronavirus – most of our contributors volunteer their work to support what we’re trying to achieve: more sustainable ways of looking at adventure travel. The magazine is stocked in more than 40 stores around the world including as far away as Taiwan, Tokyo and New Zealand.
We actively support young writers and female writers and adventurers, believing they are important in the travel and adventure field, with many publishing with us for the first time in print. We help with article editing, idea development and editing photos to print standards.
If your values match with what we’re trying to achieve with the magazine we’d be happy to hear from you about story ideas, submissions and travel photography. We have limited need for illustrations in the magazine and generally prefer articles to include photos that go with the writing.

Orders and Subsciptions
We send orders to any country in the world using plastic-free recycled cardboard packaging and even recycled paper tape to protect the magazine and limit our impact on the environment.
We try to send orders the same working day – they’re sent by 2nd Class post in the UK so should arrive within 2-3 days after dispatch.
Overseas European orders are sent by Airmail, worldwide orders by Economy seamail.
Delivery estimate: EU (5-7 days); US + Canada (up to 6 weeks); Asia, Africa + South America (up to 8 weeks); Australia + NZ (Up to 12 weeks).
Our delivery prices are discounted so we are not able to send tracked or priority delivery to keep costs down. Coronavirus has pushed worldwide Airmail prices up so much that we can only send Airmail to Europe.
£2.50 for the first magazine and only £1.25 for each additional magazine. Orders will be sent by 2nd Class post.
Overseas delivery by AIRMAIL (Europe) or ECONOMY (rest of world):
Europe (non-UK) and Worldwide are: £5.50. Only £2 for each additional magazine.

Royal Mail normally asks to wait 21 days after expected delivery on international orders so please be patient.
With at least 15% discount off the cover price it’s a great way to save money. When you order a subscription you only pay for the current or next issue – further payment is only made each time a new issue comes out so don’t have to pay in advance. This means you get the magazine sent as soon as we receive it from the printers without worrying about making large payments.
