Run Wild is about the freedom of adventurous travel, highlighting the rugged beauty of the wilderness, nature and people we encounter there. We explore how we can live an outdoors, exhilarating and ethical lifestyle. Published bi-annually in England, with a love for our world.
You can buy the print magazine from over 40 magazine stores and bookshops around the world, as far away as Taiwan, Japan and New Zealand. See our Stockists page to see where.
We’re a bi-annual magazine, normally coming out in Spring and Autumn, with some special issues also sometimes released. We have updates about releases, news and contents of the next issue in our monthly newsletter.
We use post-consumer recycled paper, vegetable inks, renewable energy for printing and for RW4 we will invest in forest protection in Brazil to make the print carbon neutral.

We’re a small independent magazine with a small budget, especially at the moment with coronavirus – most of our contributors volunteer their work to support what we’re trying to achieve: more sustainable ways of looking at adventure travel. The magazine is stocked in more than 40 stores around the world including as far away as Taiwan, Tokyo and New Zealand.
We actively support young writers and female writers and adventurers, believing they are important in the travel and adventure field, with many publishing with us for the first time in print. We help with article editing, idea development and editing photos to print standards.
If your values match with what we’re trying to achieve with the magazine we’d be happy to hear from you about story ideas, submissions and travel photography. We have limited need for illustrations in the magazine and generally prefer articles to include photos that go with the writing.
Please look through our website, read our articles and look at our sample magazines pages to see what content we are looking for before contacting us. With all submissions we reserve the right to edit work to fit with the editorial line and design of the issue, as a magazine is not just a collection of individual works but an organic whole.
For commercial rates we’d advise you contact more commercial magazines that use advertising, such as Ernest, Sidetracked, Rucksack and Another Escape.
You can order directly through us or through our distributor MMS London who supply stores throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide.
We’re happy to consider opportunities to work together with organisations that match our values. As an independent publisher we are looking for sponsors rather than advertisers and would be happy to hear from you on:
